Born in 1951 in Miami, Florida, Carl Plansky went on to study art at the New York Studio and the Maryland Institute College of Art. Since 1980 he has had over 15 solo exhibitions in New York, Massachusetts, Chicago, Delaware and Italy.
He has also taught and lectured since 1990 at the New York Studio, Maryland Institute College of Art, Art Institute of Chicago, Vermont Studio Center, Smith College, Bard College and Harvard University.
Public selections of his works are displayed at the Arkansas Arts Center, Asheville Art Museum,
Bank of America, San Francisco, Bankers Trust, New York, Commerce Bancshares, Inc., Kansas City,
Hercules Corporation, Wilmington, Delaware, Hobart and William Smith College, Geneva, New York
and Wilmington National Bank, Wilmington Delaware.
